Tuesday -September 12th (Yellowstone National Park)

On the road again! Today was a long driving day. I made it a little further with the help of a friend.

It all started with a text from my friend Ross McClain. He asked if I was planning on stopping by Three Forks, MT on my way to Yellowstone. My immediate response was no. I didn’t want to take any time away from Yellowstone. He explained that The Headwaters of the Missouri River was in Three Forks.

I thought about this when I went to sleep and decided a little detour was in order. There are many people who read this blog who are associated with a human powered boat race called the MR 340. (MR stands for Missouri River 340 is the length of the race, 340 miles) Logan and I competed in the race in 2020.

My cell signal is very poor here. I will have to try to find some Wi-Fi somewhere tomorrow.

I promise the pictures are saved and I will get them uploaded tomorrow.

Until then….. I am going back to camp, making dinner and then going to bed!

Three Forks is also the home of Wheat Montana where Larry gets his 7 grain gruel. They also have really good cinnamon and caramel rolls bigger than your head!! Safe travels!!
