Wednesday 5-29 (Redwoods National Park)

Published on

I sent the last two days with Doug and Joline McQuillian at their home in Danville, CA. It was good to reconnect with them. We hadn’t seen each other in over 25 years!

While I was in the San Francisco area, I was also able to meet up with one of Diane’s sorority sisters for lunch yesterday.

Kathy Zuke

I got up early and headed north. I will be spending the next four nights in Redwoods National Park. The park is long and I drove along the coast for quite a while before I found my campground.

There are three state parks within the National park. You can only camp in one of the state parks. This National Park doesn’t have any campgrounds.

More big trees!
The park has coastline too!

I got checked in and set up my camp. I’m going to make some dinner and head over for a Ranger talk at 8:30pm.

Wow, they even pulled out the big park sign for the big trees!

    1. It was a big sign! And made only from wood! Most of the time they are made mostly of stonework.
