10/5/25 – Panama City Beach

Published on

I had previously posted on my Facebook page that had recently acquired a 1998 Roadtrek 170P in anticipation of using it help me fill up Diane’s National Park Passport.

The first part of my latest trip started yesterday. I drove “Ethyl” from Cuba, Mo to Panama City Beach, FL. I knew that there had been a major hurricane that had passed through the state just a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t think that it should affect my plans. What I wasn’t counting on, was an additional storm moving in much the same trajectory as the last storm arriving at the same time and place I had made plans to stay over the next few weeks!

I am safe at my Sister and Brother in Laws home. The storm isn’t headed to this area.

So…. I will be staying here until the storm hits and then head down to participate in a high school reunion. Hopefully I will be able to visit the three National Parks I had intended to visit while in the area.

I will keep you posted as my trip evolves!

Meet “Ethyl”
