Saguaro National Park 1/12/26

It’s been quite a while since I’ve visited a National Park. This is a good time of the year to visit southern Arizona, so I am currently in the Tucson area visiting Saguaro National Park.

A funny thing happened on the way here. I had to make an unexpected detour to Phoenix due to some vehicle issues. I ended up visiting my nephew Brandon at the beginning of this trip instead of at the end of the trip.

Ethyl has been repaired and I was able to drive to the Gilbert Ray campground in the Tucson area this morning, after spending the evening with Brandon and his lovely bride Jamie.

Today I visited the Red Hills Visitor enter. I also drove the Bajada Loop drive. I did two hikes while exploring the loop. I did the Valley View Overlook trail and the Signal Hill trail. I then went to the Arizona – Sonora Desert Museum. I ended my day at the Gates Pass to take some sunset pictures.

Here are some of my pictures from today.

Thank you for including me to see the photos!! Hope you don’t have any more issues with Ethyl. I noticed cages for some animals. Was that wolf running in the wild?? Be safe!!

    1. You are welcome! All the animal pictures were taken at the museum. All were in some type of cage or enclosure.
