Theadore Roosevelt Presidential Library September 20, 2026

The official grand opening of the newest Presidential Library was on July 4, 2026. This was timed to coincide with our great nations 250th anniversary.

The library sits high atop a hill overlooking the town of Medora, ND and the Theadore Roosevelt National Park.

Today I was very glad to be inside, since it has been raining for the last day or so.

The Library uses state of the art AI computerized exhibits and covers the entirety of President Roosevelt life. It is interactive and like the man himself….. extremely interesting!

The exhibits follow the stages of his life.

His life in New York
His life ranching in North Dakota
Working as the Chief of Police in NYC
While he served in the Navy
When he joined the Rough Riders
While he served as President of the United States
When he journeyed into the Amazon

The final section of his life which was highlighted again with tragedy. He passed away just six months after learning of his son’s death as a pilot in WW I.

President Theadore Roosevelt and his son Theadore Roosevelt Jr are one of only two father / son recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor!

A very accomplished, controversial and extremely interesting man. The library does a great job of displaying his accomplishments! If you ever get a chance to visit it….i would highly recommend it!

In case you haven’t figured it out yet…… the Library takes your picture and puts your face into famous pictures of the times during the different portions of his life.
