I know I said I was just going to sit around all day and read my book. I tried …… it didn’t work. I woke up early as usual and tried to go back to sleep……..That wasn’t happening. I got up and it was 42 degrees and overcast. The idea of sitting around waiting for things to warm up didn’t sound good to me , so I improvised. I packed up camp and drove down to The Grand Tetons National Park. It is less than an hour away. I found the closest Visitors Center and got my stamp in the passport. I talked with an information Ranger and got the lay of the land. I spent the rest of the day checking things out and then I headed east. I stopped in a town called Riverton, WY. I am currently a guest at the Super 8 hotel! Freshly showered and feeling so good! I walked to a Kentucky Fried Chicken place and had a three piece dinner. Life is good this evening!
Tomorrow I will head out to Custer State Park a day earlier than originally planned. There are some first come first serve campsites available.
I will let you know where I am once I get settled in.
Here are todays pictures:

So I left the Grand Tetons and headed east towards South Dakota. Nothing much happened along the way, except it rained a little bit. Because of the rain, I was able to get these shots
