Acadia National Park. This park is one that I have been looking forward to visiting for quite some time! I must have said something about my desire to visit this park that sparked an interest with my family! They decided to visit the park with me! Shannon will get here tomorrow.

Yesterday was a travel day. Ken and I spent the evening in the Alp’s Family campground located outside of Albany, NY. We drove for a little over five hours and ended up in Waterford, ME at the home Ken’s good friends John and Betty. Who were former classmates of Ken’s! I believe they have known each other since the fourth grade!

We had a wonderful lunch and it was time for me to continue on to Acadia National Park.

Three and a half hours later I ended up at Blackwoods Campground where I will be staying for the next week or so.

This morning we all met at the Hulls Cove visitors center. I got my passport stamped and we talked to the information ranger, who helped us learn about the different areas of the park and gave us some suggestions for the rest of our stay here.

We hopped on the shuttle bus and caught a ride to Bar Harbor. We walked to the Bar Harbor Shore Trail and checked out the coast for a while.

We bought some lunch and did some shopping.

Going back to regroup and get ready for our afternoon/evening explorations!
