Lunch was great. We decided on which hikes would be doable for everyone and when the best time to do them would be.

I picked up some fire wood and the rest of the crew picked up some seafood takeout for dinner. We all met at the campground and had our dinner on the picnic table.

Dinner time

We cleaned up and headed out for our early evening hike. We followed the Quarry path to the Otter Cove trail. We stayed on that until we hit the Ocean Path trail. We followed this until we found one of the more popular spots to visit, called Thunder Hole.

North side of Otter Cove Bridge You can see how far down the water is at “low tide”. The difference in this area is around 12 1/2 feet from low to high tide. The time in between low and high tide is about 12 hours

The Thunder Hole. The water slams into this natural rock formation. When this happens it causes a very loud sound that resemble the sound of Thunder

We turned around after experiencing Thunder Hole and retraced our steps all the way back to my campsite.

We started a fire and made S’mores! It was a pretty darn good ending to a pretty darn good day!

Tomorrow we get to pick Shannon up at the airport and go on some more hikes!
